”Living in Favor Everyday”
Recuperation Rock Retreat Center offers a safe and accepting environment where you will build fellowship with other families who face similar concerns, create long lasting memories, and renew your faith and hope in God. Each retreat available has its own unique focus. For example, students with disabilities (school group), familial support for special needs children and spiritual retreat weekends for adults with physical disabilities paired with “buddies”.
R3C is packed with exciting adventures for the entire family. Each day, the children enjoy exciting age appropriate camp activities, crafts and recreation. Parents have the opportunity to enjoy a restorative worship with our on-site pastor, teaching and practical seminars that address family life and issues related to life with a disability and supporting a child with special needs. Afternoons are
open and free for relaxation or participating in a variety of optional activities, both outdoors and indoors. Evenings are full of family-oriented activities like talent shows, camp fires, game night and more.
Through storytelling and ritual, art and meditation, movement and music, we will explore and grieve what we have lost in dealing with disabilities while also exploring and celebrating our gifts! Our team will encourage all families and individuals to reflect closely on the transformation of using insecurities to build pride! We will talk about our disabilities, the endless struggle for accessibility and how that affects the range of our emotional live (frustrations, joy and pride). Whether impairments are physical, cognitive, learning or psychiatric, come and join us for a day (or longer) gathering of healing, conversation and connection with others..
